Chinese game developers are creating a “death simulator” that allows players to experience a simulated cremation.

The game “Samadhi — 4D Experience of Death”  uses dramatic special effects to bring players close to what its creators imagine is an experience of death.

Players will take part in a series of challenges and if they lose, they’ll get sent through a cremator that uses hot air and light projections to create “an authentic experience of burning.”

The creators will run the project, due to open in Shanghai in September, along side Hand in Hand, an organisation that provides hospice support to cancer patients.
