It’s a beautiful day after all for U2

Remember the uproar last September when Apple automatically uploaded U2’s latest album to devices owned by almost 50 million customers across the world? Many people were furious to have been given an entire album for free and complaints flooded in.

Apple had to create a fix so that the — maybe not so popular after all — Irish band could be deleted from playlists. I mean how embarrassing, friends around for a BBQ and U2 comes up on your playlist that’s set to random.

U2 even looked a little coy over the debacle. But perhaps they can hold their heads high once again with a study finding that 23% of Apple music customers listened to U2 last month. Apparently that’s more than double the percentage that listened to Taylor Swift.
