The much loved hitchhiking robot hitchBot was captured and violently beheaded late last week.
Designed by Canadian researchers hitchBot had made it safely across Canada, Germany and the Netherlands but came to a sticky end in Philadelphia.
HitchBot’s owners are yet to file a police report and have not confirmed whether hitchBot will undergo emergency surgery to replace his head.
They say the aim of the project was to determine whether humans could trust robots, but it seems that the real question is can robots trust humans? The answer is clearly no.
