Intravenous immunoglobulin remains a good emergency rescue therapy in immune thrombocytopenic purpura but there are better alternatives emerging for chronic ITP, according to Dr Rick Kapur. Speaking at the Blood 2024 meeting he outlined the current and future treatment options for ITP.
