ASH moving forward with face to face congress

16 Jun 2020

The American Society for Haematology says it is moving forward with its face-to-face annual scientific meeting due to be held at the end of the year in San Diego.

However, the society also says it is preparing for “various contingencies” should the live event not be possible because of risks posed by the COVID-19 pandemic.

To date, California has had more than 150,000 confirmed cases of COVID-19 disease and more than 5000 COVID-19 deaths, including 300 in San Diego County.

Abstract submissions are now open and the preliminary programme will be published in July. For more information on the meeting click here.

Registration is also now open for the ISTH 2020 Virtual Congress taking place from 12 -14 July.
