The ADEA had launched a charitable Research Foundation that will build research capacity and support the new generation of diabetes researchers.

The Foundation will also ensure that research addresses the issues that concern people with diabetes.

‘The Research Foundation is a charitable foundation and was initiated as a result of a real need to enable our members, clinicians, researchers and consumers to undertake collaborative research to better support people living with diabetes,’ Dr Joanne Ramadge, ADEA CEO said.

Grant expressions of interest will be announced in January 2016; scholarships in September.
