Four Australian research centres have made it into the prestigious Nature Index top 100 for NPO/NGO institutions for biomedical sciences.
The Walter and Eliza Hall Institute for Medical Research topped Australia’s rankings in 19th spot followed by QIMR Berghofer Medical Research Institute (55th), the Garvan Institute (59th) and the Peter Doherty Institute for Infection and Immunity (69th).
The Institute's international standing as a leading biomedical research institute has been recognised by the 2019 @NatureIndex.

The Nature Index was otherwise dominated by European and US institutions.
