Rheumatologists have plenty to look forward to on the conference agenda in 2025, with a bumper crop of local and international meetings alongside must-see events from the limbic on the calendar.
An early program has already been released for EULAR’s annual congress, which is being held in June this year in Barcelona, Spain.
According to EULAR the program features an impressive line-up of “must-see scientific sessions, EULAR recommendations and insightful abstract presentations”, spanning both common and rare rheumatic diseases.
New for this year is a series called ‘Rheumatology Meets’, for which clinicians from other specialities, such as dermatology, ophthalmology or haematology, will share their expertise in areas of overlap with rheumatology.
The ACR Convergence is taking place a little earlier than usual this year, in October, in Chicago, with the planning committee currently reviewing proposals and assembling sessions.
The British Society for Rheumatology is holding its annual meeting in Manchester in April, which it describes as “the UK’s leading rheumatology event”.
The program is yet to be published but will feature over 70 sessions and more than 100 speakers, according to the BSR.
Closer to home, the ARA’s annual meeting will be held in Adelaide from May 3-6, with Professor Hector Chinoy (UK), Professor Eva Kosek (Sweden), Dr Rachel Tattersall (UK) and Professor Michael Brenner (USA) already confirmed international guest speakers.
The society also promises a range of Australasian experts speaking on a wide array of topics linking with the meeting.
Meanwhile, the limbic will be hosting a series of expert-led webinars throughout the year, which will include highlights of potentially practice-changing research on show at BSR, EULAR and ACR. More information on these events will be published soon.
