Legit scripts driving rise in oxycodone deaths

People with legitimate prescriptions are behind the rise in deaths from the popular pain medicine oxycodone  Melbourne researchers say. Deaths linked to the prescription-only opioid have risen almost seven-fold over a decade, with a 562% increase in oxycodone supply across Australia. Doctor shoppers had been merely a red-herring, the researchers from Monash said.
