Cold viruses affect day-to-day asthma

Asthma symptoms are significantly linked to the presence of human rhinovirus in the airways, a study of 67 Australian children finds. The presence of the virus increased the risk of cough and phlegm by 27% and increased the risk of wheeze and chest tightness by 46% reported the study in the Journal of Allergy and Clinical Immunology.
