The Clinical Oncology Society of Australia has announced that NSW-based radiation oncologist Associate Professor Dion Forstner has been elected the President Elect for 2021-2022.
Professor Forstner, a conjoint Associate Professor with University of NSW, works at St Vincent’s Hospital and Macquarie University Hospital in Sydney and also with Genesiscare.
His clinical focus is in the in management of head and neck cancers and skin cancers.
From 2014 to 2018 Professor Forstner was Dean of Faculty of Radiation Oncology at Royal Australian and New Zealand College of Radiologists.
He will take over from medical oncologist Professor Fran Boyle, who is current COSA president elect and will serve for the 2020-2021 term.
