MOGA wants your champions of medical oncology

Finding the medical oncology champions of Australia is the latest in a series of events the Medical Oncology Group of Australia (MOGA) has organised to mark its 40th anniversary.

The organisation wants its member to nominate an Australian medical oncologist they consider a Champion.

The terms of reference are pretty broad – it should be a member of the profession who’s made a real difference to your training, career, research activities or life as a medical oncologist – whether trainee or consultant.

According to MOGA, the Champion could be someone who has mentored, supervised, befriended or helped you work through a problem.

The emailed applications need to include a photo of said Champion with their full title, name, city, state and accompanied by up to 25 well-chosen words about why exactly they are a Champion.

Entries should be sent to [email protected] before 10 August and they will all be posted on the MOGA website and social media.

The winning Champion  will be announced on August 16 during the 40th Anniversary/Annual Scientific Meeting and Immuno-Oncology Forum to be held in Canberra from 14 to 17 August 2019. The Champion and their nominator will each receive a gift valued at $150.
