A chocolate brain is the latest project for UK-based sculptor-turned confectioner and food artist Sarah Hardy.
The East-Anglian based artist has been slaving over the neuroanatomy textbooks as well as in the kitchen to create a chocolate-based model of the human brain to add to her pret-a-porter range of food art.
Retailing via her Edible Museum online store at £27 (A$49) the lifelike chocolate brains will complement her earlier medical themed confectionary items such as chocolate hearts and white chocolate vertebrae (commissioned by Mick Jagger as part of a ‘zombie cake’ for his daughter’s birthday).
“”I get to make things out of chocolate that look like things that aren’t tasty… and then they are tasty. It’s a definite thing…” says Sarah on her confectionery website.
