Climate researcher failed to disclose funding

A prominent researcher whose work argued that variations in the sun’s energy was responsible for global warming failed to disclose that he had received more than $1.2 million from the fossil-fuel industry over the last decade.

Documents obtained from Greenpeace under the Freedom of Information Act showed that Wei-Hock Soon, a scientist at the Harvard-Smithsonian Center for Astrophysics, described many of his scientific papers as “deliverables” completed in exchange for money, the New York Times reported.
