Hand exercises worthwhile

Hand exercises are a worthwhile and cost effective intervention for RA patients with hand pain. Pain and function improved twice as much for patients who did strengthening and stretching exercises compared to patients receiving standard treatment the randomized study showed. RA drugs are expensive so cost-effective interventions like this one are important, say editorialists from the Karolinska Institute in Sweden.
